The above all have the +1 PD and 1/8th boxing skill bonus to dodge.

As for the tournament to save sanity and time I have devised the following point scoring system:

Each bout will be 8, 3 minute rounds. This will be represented by 3 normal rounds of combat, 1 for each minute, followed by a boxing skill check for each fighter.

Each fighter will score points in the following ways:

1 point for making a punch attempt

2 points for a successful punch that lands but does no damage

3 points for a successful punch that lands and does damage

10 points for a successful knockdown

+1 points for every point a fighter succeeds their boxing check at the end of the round

The bonus points represent the fighters making moves and jabs throughout the fight that the judges will base their scoring on.

At the end of each round, each fighter will remove all shock and any bonuses or penalties from all out attacking or feinting. The start of each round each fighter comes to the center of the ring, and the fight start anew. If the fighters are tied in speed, roll off to determine who this rounds starting fighter is.

If a fighter is knocked down due to taking 1/2 of their HT in a single blow and then failing their HT roll, they get 3 chances to get up before the 10 count. Roll vs HT to see if they recover from stun, if they recover within 3 rolls the fight continues. If they fail all 3 rolls the fight ends due to referee stoppage as the fighter is unable to recover enough to defend themselves.

Currently I am treating every bout as a clean one so there will be no rules for attempts at dirty moves like headbutting or kidney punching, however a strong strategy is head hunting with making -5 to skill rolls against the head to attempt a possible knockout.

With the rules out of the way here are the results of the first round of the tournament:

George vs Trenton
Round 1

1: G: 3 T: 1
2: G: 1 T: 0
3: G: 1 T: 1
Skill G: 8 T: 0

Round 2

1: G: 1 T: 1
2: G: 1 T: 3
3: G: 1 T: 3

1: G: 1 T: 3
2: G: 1 T: 3
3: G: 0 T: 1

Round 4

2: G: 1 T: 2
3: G: 1 T: 1
Skill G: 0 T: 3

Round 5

1: G: 1 T: 3
2: G: 3 T: KO 10
3: G:  T:

George: -2 HP

Trenton: 6 HP

Trenton via Knock out

George was coming out swinging making feint attempts and a bit of head hunting but Trenton's cowardly disposition had him strongly on the defense and retreating making a few move in punches. With George leaving himself open Trent kept peppering George with repeated blows before seeing an opportunity to try and end the fight and started making some successful all out damage strikes (+2 damage) which lead to a knockout in the 5th round.

 Irving vs Nolan

Round 1

1: I: 1 N: 1
2: I: 10 N:
3: I:  N:
Skill I:  N:

Irving: 15 HP

Nolan: 3 HP

Irving via TKO

Irving had speed on his side, within the first minute he threw a basic jab feeling out Nolan who opted to go for a powerful strike out of the gate that missed its mark leaving him open to Irving who countered with a 2 hit combo that dropped Nolan. Nolan stumbled to his feet but the dizzying blow left him so staggered the referee calls it. Irving wins via TKO in the 1st round.

Brenden vs Tyson

Round 1

1: B: 3 T: 1
2: B: 3 T: 3
3: B: 1 T: 1
Skill B: 5  T: 2

Round 2

2: B: 3 T: 3
3: B: 2 T: 3
Skill B: 8 T: 0

Round 3

1: B: 6 T: 1
2: B: 1 T:  0
3: B: 3 T: 1
Skill B: 2  T: 6

Round 4

1: B: 1 T: 1
2: B: 1 T: 1
3: B: 3 T: 1
Skill B: 6 T: 0

Round 5

2: B: 3 T: 0
3: B: 1 T: 3
Skill B: 0 T: 3

Round 6

1: B: 1  T: 3
2: B: 3  T: 1
3: B: 1 T: 1
Skill B: 4 T: 0

Brenden: -2 HP

Tyson: -3 HP

Some good back and forth action between these 2 and the fight nearly went the distance however after a critically missed punch left Brenden off balance, Tyson was able to capitalize with a extremely brutal counter attack. Both fighters were running out of gas but Brenden was unable to continue the bout.

Tyson wins via TKO

Grant vs Merlin

Round 1

1: G: 3 M: 1
2: G: 10 M: 1
3: G:  M:
Skill G:  M:

Merlin tries to end the fight early with a power punch but Grant dodges away and throws a counter punch visibly irritating Merlin. Merlin Throws a more concentrated strike at Grant but Grant fakes him out and delivers a solid uppercut that puts Merlin out for the count.

Grant: 12 HP

Merlin: 8 HP

Grant wins via KO

This took some time to roll up so I will do the Semi and Final rounds next time.

If any one has some tips or suggestions for making this better let me know, or do you think you might use these rules in your game I'd love to know, shoot me a message.
